Festive Gallivanting

Hello!  Emily and Oscar here!   The Mom has been busy with Christmas activities all this past while.   It makes us felines tired.  Also, we are concerned she will neglect our needs if she keeps up with this frantic, festive pace.  We told you last week she went on a Christmas lantern tour at an old fashioned Christmas village.   The time frame is December 1911.   Most of her photos were pretty dark but we thought we could show you a few that were not too bad.
The only light in the tour was with kerosene lanterns.   Lovely but dark.
Mom used her flash after the tour group left.  This is the British house and the table is spread out with yummy food!   Do you think they would have feline treats for us?

This was the store.    Mom said there was lots of neat things for the time frame.  Pretty neat tree, eh!  We think that Santa looks a bit menacing, though.

Hello from Santa Winston.   Yes, the Mom has been gadding about doing Christmas type things this month.
This is from the tiny church at the village.  Their tour ended here and they sang Christmas carols!  Mom took this photo before the "concert" started...again with her flash or it would have been much darker.  The ladies who led the concert, who were dressed in period costume, sang beautifully!
Finally, the Mom went to a Christmas concert yesterday afternoon.  She has a seat far in the back and she said it was wonderful to see the entire stage!   The music was wonderful, too.   The audience got to sing carols as well.  Mom said one of her favorite things about this time of year is the music.
Finally, though, all this Mom stuff.  What about us?
Well...as we mentioned before, we are concerned that she has forgotten us.   There has been no mention of Christmas presents for us!   We haven't been THAT bad!   Or have we??

Purrs for a lovely week ahead.   See this is us being good.   Me, Winston, cuddling Oscar.    Good!
Purrs....we hope all the felines out there get some tasty treats and ear scritches.

  9. Thank you for the Christmas wishes. I hope that everyone there has a wonderful Christmas. Going back in time a bit was certainly a fun way of getting in the mood. I would have spent all my time at the Christmas feast. May your Yuletide be happy and full of good company.
