Distressing Developments

Winston kitty here today with a bit of distressing news.  The other day, after Mom got home from work, I thought I detected a foreign feline scent on the hem of her pant leg.  Sure enough, after some delicate questioning on my part, Mom confessed to letting "another cat" sniff her leg and then she gave it a treat!   I am wounded to the core of my soul, kitties
Mom tried to defend her actions by saying that the kitty needed some comfort.   No. No. NO.   There can be no other felines in our Mom's affections.  Has any other feline out there had to deal with this kind of emotional trauma?

I will close with this photo from one of Mom's walks.  Spring is here but it is taking it's sweet time!  However, I heard Mom sniffing and wiping tears from her eyes.  At first I thought it was remorse from her flirting with another orange kitty but as it turns out it's just her allergies kicking in.
Purrs to all for a great week.
PS-Watch your humans carefully!

  1. Oh Winston, she was only trying to be nice to another kitty. At least she did not bring him home. :)

  2. Ohhh I deal with that ALL of the time! That's just how they are! My Mom says she can relate to the sniffing and wiping tears, she has the same! Love, Cody

  3. Winston, we deal with this all the time too, as there's Finn, the local neighbourhood mooch, as well as other kitties the human often sees. Plus we had 4 years with Toby the (former) stray, until he found a farm home. Our human used to take her morning coffee out to the front step and sit with him, and go for little walks. She'd play with him, feed him, made him a home on our step...you get the idea. So really, it could be worse! At least your human isn't practically adopting the ginger cat!

  6. Winston, we feel ya, pal! Our Mom and Dad volunteer at the shelter every weekend -- we have sort of gotten used to smelling other kitties on their pants legs!
